Our History

East Valley Tutoring was started in Chandler, Arizona, by Sharon Baartmans.  In 2007, Sharon relocated to the West Coast, and wanted to find an individual or company to take over the operations of East Valley Tutoring; it was important to ensure that the new management would continue to emphasize high-quality care for its clients, and careful selection of, and support for, the tutors.

Alisa Cook, founder and president of Principal Tutoring and Consulting Services, shares Sharon's commitment to the tutoring process, and agreed with Sharon that her organization would be an excellent fit to support the operations of East Valley Tutoring.

As part of the Principal Tutoring and Consulting Services family, East Valley Tutoring will continue to exclusively serve the communities in and around Chandler, Arizona, and now adds additional resources and services available only through Principal Tutoring and Consulting Services (parent coaching/consulting, school-wide programs, district programs, etc.)

Our Tutors

In keeping with the goal of East Valley Tutoring, Inc., we choose tutors based on several criteria. The tutors are very knowledgeable of the subject material. Many tutors have significant classroom experience as current or former teachers in elementary, middle, high school, or college. All tutors have previous tutoring experience. Tutors are patient, friendly, and very motivated to help our students succeed. The high quality of our tutors is what sets us apart from other tutoring options in the East Valley.
